After hearing that, Ichigo says, "But Kurosaki Isshin is my father, if there's anything you want to know about him, then go ahead" while raising his voice.

After hearing that its his dad, "That's another coincidence, you sure you can answer what I want to know?" He asks.

"Maybe not. You definitely don't know much about your own family," the guy continued. On the other hand, at the Urahara shop, "Is Urahara-san here?" asks Karin. "Oh my, oh my, isn't this... Kurosaki-san", says Urahara, appearing with a serious face. To be continued.

As Ichigo fights he asks Zangetsu, "I thought until now you were lending me power for my own sake, but what was your purpose in doing that?

He answers, "Look at this world. It was full of hope. It was full of skyscrapers, but has become downgraded to the scene of that little town so close to yourself. The rain has stopped but everything has sunk into the sea.

All because you despaired and stopped your advancement." Saying this, he charges at Ichigo and stabs him in the chest with his hand.

He says he's going to drag out the roots of that despair and pulls something out from his chest.

In front of Ichigo is a man wearing the mask from when Ichigo fought Ulqy. (But the black and white colors are reversed.)

"Hey, long time no see, Ichigo." The man removes the mask and underneath it's white Ichigo.

Karakura Town

As they head towards to school, Tatsuki wonders if they should look for Mizuiro.

"We can for now, but since Ichigo's gone missing he goes to school by himself, and he doesn't even have a cell phone.
He's probably still asleep somewhere," says Keigo.

Hearing this, Tatsuki says, "You've hung out together since middle school, so I thought you were good friends."

"That's not necessarily true. He keeps important things to himself, " says Keigo. "Really?" asks Tatsuki.

It;s only Ichigo that Mizuiro is attached to. He immediately put up a barrier, and I see him walking away from me, but he's happy this way.

Tatsuki suggests they look for Mizuiro. Keigo wonders what's happened to two of their friends. (国枝 and 夏井 but I forgot their romanized names) but Tatsuki says
they can take of themselves.

Tatsuki announces she's going to look for Yuzu and Karin. Keigo says their father is probably with them.

Tatsuki believes they're likely all lying unconscious somewhere together. Suddenly the two of them sense a change. Aizen appears in front of them.

Aizen praises them, saying that even though they are close to him they are able to preserve their own existence.

Tatsuki asks who they are. He says that Kurosaki Ichigo will definitely be bringing his new power there.

I want to bring him near in order to further perfect that power. Your deaths should help. He aims his sword at them.

Hearing this Tatsuki screams, "Run, Azano! Hurry! There's nothing you can do here!"

Keigo hesistates, then flees. Gin is about to pursue him, but Aizen tells him it's not necessary. They will take care of things here first.

Tatsuki sinks to the ground, unable to move, wondering what to do.

From behind we see somebody's legs. Until next week.

A figure sneaks up on Aizen and Ichigo's friends from the present world!? Will there be a new crisis, or possibly...!?

The cover is Aizen's shell.

After the slash Urahara asks what they should do.

Isshin says that he can't read Aizen's reiatsu at all.

The thing they fought was so strong, and it's as if it had disappeared.

"The only strength I can feel is in the location he is standing," he says.

Aizen emerges from the dust and tells him it was a good attack. His face is cracked.

"It understood that attack, and understood my own strength," he adds, grasping his sword.

There's a loud noise and Ichigo turns. Behind him is Gin, saying, "Is it good?"

He asks, "Neither soldier nor shinigimi nor hollow, nor human, but instead a midway state. Those 3 have lost, do you think you can win?"

Ichigo has no response. "Run away. You're no longer of interest. Even Aizen is disappointed. Can you understand the the power Captain Aizen currently possesses?"

He ends his warning there. "If you're still not going to run away then I'll cut you down here." He pulls out his sword.

Then Aizen appears. Ichigo looks to where the battle was before and sees the three that have fallen.

Aizen asks Gin what he'll do now? "Nothing, just have a test of strength."

"Is that so?" Aizen answers as he makes a signal which opens the Senkaimon. Aizen intends to invade the Karakura in SS.

It's not necessary to destroy the pillars. If he's going to take down the Royal Palace then it's more convenient to create the royal key in SS.

Ichigo tells them to wait, but then Aizen sheds his skin. He says his chrysalis state has ended. Aizen has long hair and hollow-like eyes.

"I'll leave you here. I've finished devouring everything of you." And with that cryptic message he passes through the door and disappears.

"What...the...hell? What was that?" A dazed Isshin stands up and staggers toward Ichigo, calling his name. He whispers something and the Senkaimon opens.

Ichigo snaps out of it as Isshin grabs his shoulder. "Let's go. We're going to protect Karakura Town." Until next chapter.

Scene changes to Aizen.

Aizen watches Urahara and Yoruichi in conversation. Urahara ask what he's looking at.

Aizen says something to the fact that even Urahara's conversation is a tactic to distract his attention.

Not exactly sure what he's saying here, but it's something about leaving Urahara back in SS and taking an interest in him since he's only being whose intellect surpasses his own.

Urahara says he overestimates himself and unleashes hadou 32, yellow fire flash. Using that as a smoke screen Yoruichi appears in front of Aizen.

Aizen reads her move, but she uses shunkou and he's slammed into the ground.

Yoruichi pursues him, but Aizen halts of later attacks.

Urahara takes over and he shoots out something like a net from the tip of Benehim to entangle Aizen. He then uses the "rosary tie" technique to make the net explode.

Aizen says, "You think something like that..." As the blast disperses Isshin appears and uses getsuga tenshou to slash him.

It’s not really revealing.
And the story doesn’t really advance.
Even though he’s up against Isshin, Urahara and Yoruichi,
Aizen seems healthy.
But Aizen’s appearance…
Is more awful than Tousen’s resurrection.

It’s not clear if it’s hollowfication or resurrection,
but it’s a transformation.
He’s dressed in white.
And he has a mask on his face with only openings for his eyes…
It’s more awful than Tousen.

Gin and Ichigo are surprised.

Aizen is hollowfied and Yoruichi joins the fight. It says Aizen’s form is worse than Tousen’s released state. It also says that even though Papa (Isshin), urahara, and yoruichi face Aizen, Aizen is alright. I can’t make out the rest of it (weird words).

[Theory] Deicide of Aizen

The past 4 chapters have been named Deicide. As many of you already know this means the killing of a God or a Diety:

"Deicide is the killing of a god. The term deicide was coined in the 17th century from medieval Latin *deicidium, from de-us "god" and -cidium "cutting, killing"

However, the definition goes further in saying:

"The concept is applied to the Crucifixion of Jesus specifically, but may be used with to any life-death-rebirth deity who is killed and then resurrected."

It was after I read this that I noticed the blatant symbolism on this page of chapter 402:

The Hogyoku is in the shape of a cross, and he's being executed by his wrists, just as Jesus was nailed by his wrists onto a cross. Chapter 402 was Aizen's crucifixion.

Where does this leave us? Well firstly this theory suggests that Aizen is infact dead and this is not another of his just as planned illusions. However it also outright suggests that Aizen will be ressurected and reborn in a new form, which many of you have already hypothesised. This leaves us with two questions, did Aizen plan for this to happen, and what will his new form be like?

Again going back to the religious theme which kubo is strongly hinting at:

This would suggest this was all part of Aizens plan, however, on the other side of the argument would he really want to be obliterated halfway through an evolution? That sounds risky even by Aizen's standards, although maybe being obliterated was the only way to complete his transformation.

Concerning his new form, I would suggest it looks nothing like the "Halfway" evolution which Aizen termed 'ugly':

If this is what Kubo pulls off,that would be the only meaningful plot twist hes had since he revealed Aizen to be the baddie.
anyways i checked the Bible for a description of the Glorified Christ,so as to get a look at what Aizens ressurected final form will be.Heres the description.

OnliBlackGuy has some interesting thoughts on the Hogyoku:

Technically....the hougyoku can be seen as Jesus and Rukia as the virgin Mary. Her significance comes from her being of nobility and being the carrier for the hougyoku. Mary was of the house of Levi, and she carried Jesus, whose goal was to rescue humanity and perform miracles. The hougyoku obviously does this.

[Theory] Shinigami/Hollow Ratios of Hybrids Chars

imagine a number line going like this

-10 (-9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1) 0 (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9) 10

-10 being a pure hollow (vasto lords, menos, not including arrancar)

0 being a human alive and kicking

10 being shinigami and all other pure souls in ss

now before the incidents 101 yrs ago there were only these 3 groups with their respective numbers on the number line, once again:

hollows (-10), humans (0), pure souls (10)

after the incident less than pure beings were born from one or two of the respective groups above.

those we call vaizards where pure souls (10) became impure which brought about the brackets we now see above being born this being seen on the number line.

what i am trying to figure out is how to we tellwhat part of the number line we place vaizrds and arrancar and how it affects there powers.

i say it is also a balanced thing if u were a pure soul at 10 but became a vaizrd now bringing u to be a 9 or 8 that means u now have 1 or 2 points coming from the hollow side of the line.

to clear it up once more (since i am typing this without prethough sry)
-10 to 10 is a total 20 points but u can only have 10 points per char

if u were building a char for a game where would u put these 10 points on the number line.

would u put all 10 points to make a pure soul shinigami or would u give 9 points to shinigami and 1 point to hollow making him a vaizard.

my issue now is what these points give u

if u gave 1 point to the hollow side does that give u regen
if u gave 2 points regen and a normal cero
3 points regen , more powerful cero and whatever else hollows have etc

or u could make a perfectly balanced char with 5 points hollow 5 points shinigami
now every game has a power up or booster for a char for a limited time

lets say this is a super mario bros star that gives u and extra 5 points but in 1 direction only and thi star power up is call ressurection for both vaizards and arrancar

right now i am saying ichigo as a shinigami was a 10 but then since he became a vaizard he was a 5 or 6 shinigami shinji being a 8 or 9 shinigami with very little hollow in him.

but now in the recent chapters it seems ichigo is getting all 10 of his points being put in holl side of the line

Now my thinking being all of this is that Aizen wants to use the Hougyoku to break this line that differentiates between hollows and pure souls to make a ultimate being withi has 10 points in hollow and 10 points in shinigami. so if ever he uses the orb on himself he would have full uses of his shinigami powers and full uses of a vasto lorde powers and be able to mix them to form something godly

Ok there is much speculation about what ichigo is now everyone has there own opinion and heres mine

I think that ichigo is the only true hybrid/mix of shinigami and hollow an entirely new being the only reason i think this is true is because he is also human (and it could explain the "shenanigans" goin on in this chap)

The reason i say that because he is human he is a true hybrid isnt because he takes a part from his human side and becomes a mix of three beings i think that his human side acts as a catalyst

With arrancars and vaizards they think they are a true mix but they arent (if this theory is to be true that is) in a vaizards case they were fundamentally a shinigami that achieve a hollow mask this isnt a mix for the fact that they cant use all of the hollows powers e.g cero* and regeneration a vaizard sticks to using there sword and basically just use the mask as a power up to give themselves a power boost in an arrancars case they are hollow that gain the form of a humanoid by removing apart if not all there mask (pre hyukgo i have no idea how to spell it) this gives them a usually smaller form and a sword but when they release they return to a more hollowfied form there for i see it as wen they become arrancars an are in there unreleased form they condense there power and still add to it so wen they release there power is multiplied

Both Arrancars and Vaizards are not true hybrids but are more like water and oil mixed together
They dont mix their original states (hollow for arrancar and shinigami for Vaizards) being the water and the second state being the oil you can put them together but essentially they dont mix but they can are still more powerful then just the water

Ichigo on the other hand is not like that and the reason being because he is still a human at first when his hollow powers came out against byakuya he was a Vaizard with the water and oil not mixing and that is how it continued until now

I think because the fact that he is a human this acts as a catalyst in chemistry a catalyst is a substance that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected this happens in a few different ways

1- Lowers the activation energy needed for a reaction to take place
2- Provides a site for two different reactants to react (basically like a football pitch for two different teams to play)

The second way is the way i am focusing on this way is used for hetrogeneous catalyst these catalysts are not in the same state as the reactants e.g reactants are both solids but the catalyst is a liquid
This fits with ichigo because he is a human a live being whereas both the shinigami and hollow parts are spirits and not physical entities

I say that ulliquora "killing" ichigo provided all the needed requirements for this reaction to take place

Hey I have an idea, as to when we may see these mysterious characters, I feel we may see them sooner but my idea is abit like a chapter prediction; so please bare with me

I think during the Fake Karukra Arc, the Vastro Lorde will appear, now you will ask me why and I will respond to such a question with what I percieve as Aizen's plan.

I believe Aizen is waiting, in the Fire Fortress of Solitude, Aizen is waiting for the arrival of the Vizard (I dont know how many of them). I believe his move to islolate and weaken Soul Society's fighting strength, by trapping the valuable military assest Kurosaki Ichigo and 3 Shinigami Captains, he has forced the hand of Soul Society forcing them to act. I believe Soul Society's response to this, the formation of a Fake Karkura Town, is what this man wants. He was so calm and cold when they appeared, didnt thay strike anyone as odd? It seemed like he was expecting them to make this move, and expected them to have found an ally in Urahara Kisuke, because they shared a common enemy in Aizen.

Furthermore, I believe the current condition of his Espada is another hint, Aizen has already lost 5 Espada and has 1 incapicitated amongst the 5. Im confident Azien is aware of losing 4 of these Espada, he was still present in Hueco Muendo during their battles, and that Grimmjow is no longer capable of being useful to him for the time being. So why Aizen is he so calm? The Espada have lost more than half their fighting strength, they're also in a unfavourable militaristic position, just like the Soul Society right now at present is. Isnt that odd to you?

Now I know, a few believe that the top 3 Espada are Vastro Lorde, but I myself DO NOT believe that Espada's 2 and 3 are Vastro Lorde. There is TOO much effort going into their battles against Soi-Fon and Toshiro Hitsugaya, we are lead to believe that Vastro Lorde posses combat abilities and potential that is superior to Captains. Isnt that what Hitsugaya asserted in our intial introduction to these mysterious figures? If they were to be Arrancarised, wouldnt their abilities and potential be beyond anything we have seen before? There would be no need for them to release like they have against Hitsugaya and Soi-Fon, plus wouldnt these Arrancarised fiends pose a significant threat to Aizen? Why would he put himself in such a vunerable position like that, thats not his style. I find however that Stark MAY be a Vastro Lorde, but not for any specific reason or purpose, but just an added bonus to the OVERALL strength of the Espada. (However, Nnoitra's ambition to become the strongest Espada does make me doubt this, why does he feel he can catch up to an Arrancerised Vastro Lorde? Its bizzare)

Are you still reading? Thanks, I'll be getting to the point soon Now, I feel Aizens summoning of the Top 3 Espada is nothing more than a bid for time, like I said he is waiting. I felt he expects the Soul Society Captains to be able to survive long enough, against the Espada, for the Vizard to appear and engage in the battle. With the arrival of the Vizard, I feel Aizen expects the tide of battle to change against his Espada, in the favour of the combined forces of Soul Society and the Vizard.

With that I believe Aizen, will reveal his 'Trump Card', the reason 'why' he has been so patient, and I believe that to be the Vastro Lorde. I believe he will summon 3 of these monstrious entities to the current battlefield. Now, with their appearance based on we have been TOLD of their combat potential, I think we will soon find the Soul Society and Vizards overwhelmed. With that, I feel Aizen will then depart for Soul Society in order to harvest the Souls of the residents of the Real Karkura Town. Thus, this is where I believe the Vastro Lorde will appear, but I also have a little further prediction you might want to hear.

I believe, if what I have put forward truly does come to fruitation, then we will see Old-Man-Yama step up to the plate in a 1-1 battle with one of these vicious guys. And, I believe he will DIE, now your probably saying, 'Come on Ichi-nii; Old-Man-Yama die? Are you thinking straight?' Well I hope so, because here is why, I believe that will happen in such an enviroment that I have presented. You see, we know that Old-Man-Yama has been around for a 1,000+ years, his experience and power is peerless amongst the current generation of Captains he is Commander in Chief of. Im not doubting that for a second. But, whose to say a particular a Vastro Lorde amongst the group Aizen summons, isnt such an experienced Veteran also. I would go as far to say that, Old-Man-Yama dies in a battle against the FIRST ever concieved Vastro Lorde in Hueco Muendo, the Vastro that appeared thousands of years before his eventual peers in the Menos-class joined him. For those thousands of years, his powers and abilities may have continued to grow and become potent, even if he/she has reached the final stage of Menos Hollow Evolution. And going on the statement by Hitsugaya, that Vastrol Lorde's combat abiltities and potential, surpass Captains, then Im even more further inclined to believe Old-Man-Yama would die at the hands of such a monstrosity with such frighteningly described powers.

Finally, if some of you ask me, 'How would Aizen get such a powerful being to become an ally? Good question, heres my answer, Aizen's abilities and power are arguably on-par with Old-Man-Yama (Their Battle Data is a Draw 560 a piece), but Aizen has something Old-Man-Yama doesnt have. Kyoka Suigetsu, that amazing Zanpaktou of Aizens, the Hypontic abilities are beyond lethal and a countering it is seen as impossible (Kaname Tousen the only being we know of being immune to its affects). I believe that Zanpaktuo gives, Aizen the edge in battle with a Vastro Lorde of that calibur that I have described, furthermore Aizen's fearless nature that has been an insipration for beings born from 'fear' (the Hollow) may actually be a 'fear' factor for my described Vastro Lorde in conjuction with the abilities of KyokaSuigetsu.

This has been a long post, but I thank those of you, who have taken the patience and the time to read it, thank you very much I am more than happy to discuss any of my idea's, and it is open to anyone. Furthermore, this is all speculation, its just a hypothesis I have on where Kubo is going with his story. I DONT hold it as the absolute truth, that Im RIGHT, your WRONG. No, thats wrong of me, to think that. Im not Kubo, period. I just wanted to share my ideas and thoughts towards his amazing story and characters. Hey guys, I just wanna post my reasons for thinking the Vastro Lorde will appear in the Fake Karakura Arc, my belief is based on the perception of the limitations of the Espada and the Vizards powers and true hybrids of Hollow and Shinigami powers.

We all know that Aizen originally had an ambition of dissolving the boundaries between Hollow and Shinigami, so that Aizen himself may overcome his own limitations as a Shinigami, he claims to have reached his peak and proficiency with his Shinigami abilities. And we have seen this on TWO occasions, the first being in the Soul Society Arc, where he used the potent Black Coffin Spell lv. 90 without incantation or significant effort from himself; bringing Komamura-kun to his knees instantenously. In addition, he showed that 110 years previously before the events in the Soul Society Arc, in the Turn Back the Pendulum Arc that he had surpassed or was on even footing with the Kido Master Tessai Tsukabishi; when Aizen cast the infamous and forbidden Kido Spell 'Danku' (Splitting Void) and negated the effects of Tsukabishi-sans own spell completely.

Thus we do know Aizen is as powerful as he claims, I feel that this amazing individual, has surpassed Shinigami Commander in Chief Shigekuni Yamamoto or can engage him in combat on even footing (their Battle Data is 560 each). Plus, the amazing abilities of Aizens Kyoka Suigetsu, gives him an unsurpassed (from what we know and have seen) advantage in battle. Yet, he still wished to overcome his own limitations, to advance further in abilities and power. Why? We can only speculate, but we are inclined to believe that the powers of the Royal Guard or the King of Soul Society himself, may be truly fearsome and powerful indeed.

Thus, like Urahara Kisuke, Aizen arrived at the answer of Hollowification, for Shinigami's to overcome their limtations and advance further by learning and mastering the abilities of Hollows. He experimented on his own commrades, the Vizard, but felt his own experiment was a failure. The Hollow side of the Shinigami's in question, threatned to completely overwhelm their Shingami side and turn them into complete Hollows. He continued his research, he stumbled upon the work of Kisuke Urahara and discovered the substance known as the Orb of Distortion, this substance seemed more potent and efficient than Aizen's own previous method. And as we know, the events of the Soul Society Arc were a conciet, in order to hide the true objective of both sides (Aizen and Ichigo Kurosaki's group, although they were unaware to the Orbs existence and its presence in Rukia) trying to claim the Orb of Distortion within the Soul of Kuchiki Rukia.

Now, to current events, the Vizard and the Espada, entites that have torn down the boundaries of Shinigami and Hollows. With the Orb of Distortion, Aizen proceeded to create the perfect hybrid, a being capable of fulling emulating the abilities of Shinigami and Hollows thus overcoming the limitations of both these spiritual entities. The key word is hybrid, I need to thank Shady for pointing this out to me, he is very intellignet individual in his own right. He put forward this interesting notion and hypothesis to me in the Shirosaki threads of this board, he asserted that true hybrids do not go back and forth in their transformations. Rather, they express and show their hybrid power, in ONE true form. He believed Kurosaki Ichigo's Human Soul, as a foundation in the acquisition of his Hollow and Shinigami powers, was the 'missing link' between Shinigami and Hollows; and that the Human Soul possed a certain property that would allow Shinigami's and Hollows to become true hybrids. Now Shady's idea is wonderful, he really knows his stuff, but I had a problem with it. The Human Soul, Hollows and Shinigami, both come from the Human Soul making a transition to Hollow or Shinigami. Renji and Rukia during their lives in the Rukongai, were originally Pulses, before they became Shinigami. Therefore, if Shady's assertion was correct, that gave every Shinigami and Hollow the potential to become true hybrid beings. I couldnt agree, but Shady had REALLY captured my interest.

okay i've been thinking for a while if all the dimensions in the bleach universe is sort of interconnected with each other... and maybe find a link to aizen's plan...

the real world- it's the human's dimension or just say where the living people lives... it can be connected thru garganta thru hueco mundo and the SS and hell can also be connected once a hollow that have done unforgivable acts was vanquished... it's also the only possible place to create the ouken which can unlock the royal realm... so maybe that the real world is like the center of all connections in the whole bleachverse...

Soul society- it's where the death gods live... it can be connected thru soul burial or the senkaimon or the world penetration gate... it can also be accesed by hollows thru the garganta... it's unknown if hell can be connected in soul society once a hollow with unforgivable deeds done in his life will be transferred to hell...

Hueco mundo- hollows' domain... only a garganta can open up this place... unknown if soul burial can bring the plus to soul society... so maybe that's the reason why the spirit particle in hueco mundo is so thick because once the hollows die or get killed or purify by a shinigami, the spirit can't go to soul society as the senkaimon is inacessible in hueco mundo, so maybe the spirit particle become a part of the already thick spirit-filled environment in HM...

hell- shown to be the criminal soul's prison or atleast a punishment to people with sins that are too heavy to allow them into SS... can be accesed through the real world...

royal realm- a separate dimension from every other dimension and can only be accesed through the ouken which Sōsuke Aizen, however, discovered that the King's Key can be forged with 100,000 souls and a plot of spirit-enriched land with a radius of half a spirit-mile. The current spirit-enriched land in the real world is Karakura Town. there should be atleast two existing oukens in bleachverse... one that is known by the captain commander to open a portal to the king's realm and the other one should be on the king's dimension itself to open a portal back to SS...

hell and hueco mundo is a bit unrelated to aizen's plan but maybe after some future events... we would see some connection...

first i will focused on the real world, Soul society and the royal realm...

if the royal realm can be entered and exited if my speculation is correct that there are two oukens, one in the location known by captain commander and the other one inside the royal realm as a means to get out of that dimension...

does that mean that there are reconaissance team from them... which opens up the possibility that someone might already know the crisis in the real world... and a character in the near future to be revealed as a royal guard?maybe isshin and ryuken as a possible candidate for reconaissance... that in some future events after some chapters are release, there is a possibility that the RGs will get involved...

now here's another observation...

it was also stated that an imbalance in the soul distribution in soul society and in the real world can cause destruction in the world... if the imbalance causes life and death to mingle with another due to the hollows being destroyed and the souls after their destruction becoming stagnant in the real world and unable to move forward to SS...

He charges toward Ichigo, and with incredible speed it becomes a long sword that Ichigo had to defend against

Gin: Quite the katana, eh. It looks like it can break while I'm attacking

Ichigo: If that's true, then I can break it as easily as you said! (If I guess right, when his sword contracts is the only time his bankai is vulnerable)

(And if I'm thinking right, if the tip of the sword points here, then it's all over!!)

Then with a flick, Gin suddenly lengthens the sword. For that instant, Gin's sword lengthens over a great distance and hits Ichigo's left shoulder.

Then, Gin swings downward, Ichigo dodges and shortens the distance and again, the wakizashi form defends against him

I was thinking about it. The distance you told me beforehand doesn't mean a thing. You might as well have stayed quiet and still have the advantage.

Specially, if your sword is something that can slice an entire town in half, even that didn't mean a thing either. As it is, even with that, you had the advantage

And with that, you even made sure to show me all of that, but that was all for the sake of distracting me away from realizing the speed of your sword's contraction and expansion. Isn't that right?!

They're conversing about how Gin joining in wouldn't make a difference when Isshin and Ichigo attack.

I realise this may be an old topic but I was just wondering about the king's key and how the first one was made and by whom.

During Ukitake,s investigation of the Daireishou Kairou for clues about Aizen,s intentions, it is seen that he was researching a situation in which the ouken was created and that,s where he discovered the method. So without a doubt, 100 000 souls have been annihilated before but by who. What really interests me is when Ukitake says that the 'heavily spiritual area' is a favourable gathering spot for spiritual beings during the transition between eras and then Shunsui asks Nanao which area it is for this time period. Eras...what does that mean? If anyone knows tell me if I missed a chapter or something.

It then reminded me of someone posting and asking how it's possible that Yama is the 30th captain commander (indicatting that the Gotei 13 has been around for aaaaaages) yet it is he who founded the shinigami academy.

Is it possible that Yama is the strongest shinigami (self proclaimed and proven) of the 30th era as a shinigami from the end of 29th era? He is really old afterall and really actually quite wise (that's why he lectures every noob, Aizen included, about their being naive. I mean, nobody in bleach knows jack about the past, unless they visit the Great Spirit Library which seems restricted. TBTP is basically last year in Bleach terms, I'm talking about the real past. Even the Senior captains of the original class at the academy don't know all that far back.

Another thing, if there are indeed eras seperating specific generations, what the hell happened to the rest of the entities of the previous era? Who did Yama grow up with, get trained by etc? Where did they go? Yama can't be the sole survivor of multiple generations of shinigami within an era.

Could they have gone to the royal dimension? I don't think so, otherwise that place would be crowded with some old ass people and I mean ooooooold.

A more interesting theory is that they perhaps could all have disappeared in a cataclysmic event. What could that be? Perhaps the creation of the ouken...yeah I said it. The ouken is something that must exist it seems. But whoever said it lasts forever? Maybe it is used to open the way between the royal dimension and the rest of SS once or more times in an era before it is depleted (I won't even get into why that needs to happen you can decide, perhaps new guards are sent or something, nobody lives forever except maybe the king himself and even that's a question mark) and then needs a new one to be made.

But who makes the key? And using which souls? Would SS be willing to sacrifice innocent humans? Before answering let's take a look at Yamamoto's behaviour in the past few chapters:

1. He tried to use a suicidal technique on Aizen to guarantee his death but told Ichigo to leave stating that the members of the Gotei 13 were 'ready' to die for this greater good.

2. Upon realising that his flames were about to be discharged from Wonderboy's corpse he immediately, without hesitation, absorbed the damage when he could have avoided it and then attacked Aizen at the cost of the real Karakura returning.

3. Even in his poor condition he still used a Hadou technique that was detrimental to his health whether in an attempt to destroy Aizen or just buy Ichigo an opportunity, doesn't matter, he did it without hesitation again.

Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. Yes he is a harsh disciplinarian but Yama is willing to do anything to uphold the shinigami's code of protection and that makes him the ULTIMATE good guy. What Ichigo is willing to do to protect his family and friends, Yamamoto will do to protect everyone and anyone and that is his greatest quality as a leader. It is not hard then to believe that at the end of an era the higher part of the shinigami heirarchy (e.g. Gotei 13) give up their souls to generate the ouken as opposed to using innocent human lives. There are what? Hundreds perhaps a thousand shinigami and that would be enough as a single shinigami's soul could probably account for ten human souls and a captains could account for a hundred or more. Like Yama said they are 'prepared' to make this kind of sacrifice.

During this time they could elect the most talented or best relatively young leader, about Byakuya,s age to remain and he would be the one to restart the Gotei 13 of the new era so in effect, Yamajii actually DID founder the Gotei 13 for this era. The only shinigami not sacrificed could be the young members of the noble houses as I don't know how far back their houses go.
This would not be a problem as those coming in to establish themselves as the new central 46 will have access to the Great Spirit Library which contains the accumulated knowledge, laws and secrets of the shinigami through every era leading up to the current one.

It is quite a stretch but the way I see it, someones eventually gonna have to explain what Ukitake meant by era and how Yama is the 30th captain commander and whose souls were used for the previous ouken and...and...and yah that's about it.

The Theory of Power

I just wanted to make this because Ichigo is amongst my favourite characters and sometimes (rarely) has moments of brilliance and other times, he can be an epic failure and I feel I can understand why.
And so my explanation begins with:

The Soul Boost

Now I'm not sure if this is the best name for it but this is the name I first heard it translated to so if someone knows a better name or the Japanese name for it please do tell.
Now, since it was explained after Byakuya first pawned Ichigo in Karakura we have known about the 'soul boost' a spiritual organ possessed by all beings capable of generating spiritual power. I call it a spiritual organ because it is actually capable of being damaged by spiritual weapons or abilities i.e.
1. Byakuya severing Ichigo's 'soul chain link' and 'soul boost' with his zanpakutou and..
2. Uryuu doing the same to some forgettable shinigami with a projectile zanpakutou.

So what exactly does the soul boost do? Well exactly what it says but in order for me to explains how I think it works I'll use an analogy.

The Tank and the Tap

Now imagine this for each shingami, their bodies act as a vessel for spiritual energy hence the body will be a tank while their spiritual energy can be considered the water in the tank. The amount in the tank at any given time is considered their spiritual capacity. Different individuals will have varying levels of water in the tank at rest with no expenditure, from not very high (gifted humans like Chad and Orihime, Tatsuki etc) to almost full to full (captain class shinigami) and freakishly full to point it cannot be contained and ends up leaking (Ichigo and Kenpachi) but that's not important yet.

The question is how to access the contents of the tank in a controlled manner. Well, by installing a pipe and a tap of course. The tap controls the volume of it's contents escaping at a given rate. And what is this tap but the 'soul boost' its very self!!! This is what determines the rate at which a shinigami can access their power.
Closing and Opening of the Soul Boost decides the power at which a shingami can operate regardless of their spiritual content, that instead determines how long they can function.
You open a tap and more water rushes out of the tank hence more power available for what one wants to do whether it be augmenting physical strength, creating a reishi/hierro or casting a particular kido.
The very best example of this was Ichigo's blade being stopped by Aizen's finger on Soukyoku Hill, Aizen said it himself "The power Ichigo expressed didn't match the power he was supposed to have had." This is currently Ichigo's main downfall. Unlike all the captains, he cannot control his soul boost at will and this is what results in his varying level of 'threat' from sometimes 3/10 to other times 9/10.

I'm often lazy but I can describe a few characters with this model:

Kenpachi - this guy has a tank that can't hold the water it generates (hence his permanent shikai) but has tap is huge and the contents gush forth to point he needs to suppress flow by attaching a diverging pipe (his eyepatch) to guide some of the contents away from his tap so he can close it completely. Even then the water is still so chaotic he can only use it to augment speed and power but has no fine control for delicate processes like kido. His leaking power also gives him an involuntary reishi which allows him to tank damage from weaker individuals without suffering harm, even to the point of being able to grab swords.

Ichigo - this guy as stated by Kenpachi, has a tank like his. It can't hold the unbelievable volume within it so the tap is forever dripping hence the attraction of hollows to him and the contamination of his human friends who interact with hime most often. However his soul boost unlike Kenpachi is only average size and he can't expand it at will. I say this because there has always been a reason for him to fight seriously.
1. Blocking the Soukyoku. Are you kidding me!!! Little punk did it with one hand and shikai. One million Zanpa-Freaking-Kutous!!!
2. Taking down three lieutenants with no blade. Again, are you kidding...wait okay Omaeda sucks....but not everybody can just rip through Getsuburi with their fists alone, that's ridiculous.
3. Fighting Byakuya. Again one of his shining moments, initially canceling out Byakuya's superior experience with nothing but physical prowess, plain strength and speed forcing Byakuya to use almost every move in his repertoire, something he didn't even do for an Espada.

What do these three have in common? His burning desire to save Rukia from her fate that's what. That's what it took for him to open his 'tap' so to speak. Let's continue

4. Blocking Yammy's punch with one arm and then cutting off Yammi's arm with impunity. He didn't just wound Yammy through his hierro, he completely dominated him and severed it with one stroke.

What explains his opening tap here? His rage at seeing Chad's arm mangled and his friends hurt allowed him to be ignorant of fear of his hollow for one minor moment but then he went back to sucking again.

Why haven't I put his hollow form up here? you may ask. That will be discussed later. What I will say now is that when the hollow freaked out against Byakuya it didn't give Ichigo any more power than he already had. It simply used his body the way it was meant to be used. He told Ichigo during the vaizard arc that he had the 'killer instinct' Ichigo didn't and I personally believe that is all that separates them. After all Shirosaki told Zangetsu that Ichigo's power and body was gonna be his one day. No one envies anything below them. That's why Aizen stole the Hougyouku, duh.

Rukia - tank content is small, but she being a kido user has fine control over her tap and can hide and suppress her reiatsu easily.

Aizen - the man has now trained to what he knows is his physical limit. His tank load is huge but not Kenpachi/Ichigo huge however, the man is uber talented and is capable of fine controlling this huge 'double captain class' reiatsu so he can use kido's or he can simply direct it to his reishi to say, I don't know, grab Zabimaru's blade with his bare hand or stop ichigo's balde with his finger. So talented.....Disgusting!!!

I could go on about the different aspects of each character but I'm lazy and you now get the idea anyway. So what about the vizards thou may sayeth. Well this is where a new piece to the Tank an Tap model comes in.

The Water Pump

Well now we've already explained what makes spiritual beings tick and this is what I think of hollow powers. Hollowification does not give anyone extra power but simply adds a powerful pump to the tank allowing a user that has already opened their tap to the limit to force even more liquid out with pure pressure hence increasing their power substantially with a massive drawback.
What's the drawback? Well when you increase the pressure the tap runs quicker and harder and so you end up losing water much faster hence running out of spiritual energy extremely quickly hence the reason even the experienced vaizard keep removing and reapplying their mask, because none of them can keep 'em running for long. Look at Mashiro 'fifteen hours' my ass.

Now this applies to Ichigo as well, however It's not brilliance when he uses his hollow mask because the pump is in full actaino but the tap is still tiny.
And then he goes H2 and what happens? The pumping power is increased massively but still his tap is small.
What I'm saying is it's time for Ichigo to use his soul boost now and improve his base strength so that he can pawn some ass before going hollow and pawning some more ass and then going H2 and pawning even more ass. His reiatsu is similar to Kenpachi's and tell ya'll what, the day he can fight at Zaraki's level with no hollow form, it's GG for ALL.

Arrancar

The arrancar have minor differences to the shingami in terms of this model. However there's only one I need discuss at this point:

Yammy - I won't even discuss his non released form but assuming he also uses the hollow equivalent of a soul boost I'm going to say he's a spirit hoarder. Like a bear eating for winter he eats and sleeps while storing ridiculous amounts of reiatsu. When it's time for battle he has a certain base level which allows him to maintain such a large body. When his anger increases his tap simply grows larger and with it everything else, size strength and healing and whatever else not sure yet but that's where i'll have to end for now. Cheers

I think it's been half a year since I've felt like this.

After he finishes Ichigo asks Aizen for the basis of his conviction that Ichigo would become his greatest raw material.

Aizen responds, "It's because I knew you from the beginning, from the time you were born.

I think during the Fake Karukra Arc, the Vastro Lorde will appear, now you will ask me why and I will respond to such a question with what I perceive as Aizen's plan.

I believe Aizen is waiting, in the Fire Fortress of Solitude, Aizen is waiting for the arrival of the Vizard (I don't know how many of them). I believe his move to islolate and weaken Soul Society's fighting strength, by trapping the valuable military assets Kurosaki Ichigo and 3 Shinigami Captains, he has forced the hand of Soul Society forcing them to act. I believe Soul Society's response to this, the formation of a Fake Karkura Town, is what this man wants. He was so calm and cold when they appeared, didn't they strike anyone as odd? It seemed like he was expecting them to make this move, and expected them to have found an ally in Urahara Kisuke, because they shared a common enemy in Aizen.

Furthermore, I believe the current condition of his Espada is another hint, Aizen has already lost 5 Espada and has 1 incapacitated amongst the 5. I'm confident Azien is aware of losing 4 of these Espada, he was still present in Hueco Muendo during their battles, and that Grimmjow is no longer capable of being useful to him for the time being. So why Aizen is he so calm? The Espada have lost more than half their fighting strength, they're also in a unfavorable militaristic position, just like the Soul Society right now at present is. Isn't that odd to you?

Now I know, a few believe that the top 3 Espada are Vastro Lorde, but I myself DO NOT believe that Espada's 2 and 3 are Vastro Lorde. There is TOO much effort going into their battles against Soi-Fon and Toshiro Hitsugaya, we are lead to believe that Vastro Lorde posses combat abilities and potential that is superior to Captains. Isnt that what Hitsugaya asserted in our intial introduction to these mysterious figures? If they were to be Arrancarised, wouldn't their abilities and potential be beyond anything we have seen before? There would be no need for them to release like they have against Hitsugaya and Soi-Fon, plus wouldn't these Arrancarised fiends pose a significant threat to Aizen? Why would he put himself in such a vunerable position like that, thats not his style. I find however that Stark MAY be a Vastro Lorde, but not for any specific reason or purpose, but just an added bonus to the OVERALL strength of the Espada. (However, Nnoitra's ambition to become the strongest Espada does make me doubt this, why does he feel he can catch up to an Arrancerised Vastro Lorde? Its bizarre)

Are you still reading? Thanks, I'll be getting to the point soon Now, I feel Aizens summoning of the Top 3 Espada is nothing more than a bid for time, like I said he is waiting. I felt he expects the Soul Society Captains to be able to survive long enough, against the Espada, for the Vizard to appear and engage in the battle. With the arrival of the Vizard, I feel Aizen expects the tide of battle to change against his Espada, in the favour of the combined forces of Soul Society and the Vizard.

With that I believe Aizen, will reveal his 'Trump Card', the reason 'why' he has been so patient, and I believe that to be the Vastro Lorde. I believe he will summon 3 of these monstrous entities to the current battlefield. Now, with their appearance based on we have been TOLD of their combat potential, I think we will soon find the Soul Society and Vizards overwhelmed. With that, I feel Aizen will then depart for Soul Society in order to harvest the Souls of the residents of the Real Karkura Town. Thus, this is where I believe the Vastro Lorde will appear, but I also have a little further prediction you might want to hear.

I believe, if what I have put forward truly does come to fruition, then we will see Old-Man-Yama step up to the plate in a 1-1 battle with one of these vicious guys. And, I believe he will DIE, now your probably saying, 'Come on Ichi-nii; Old-Man-Yama die? Are you thinking straight?' Well I hope so, because here is why, I believe that will happen in such an environment that I have presented. You see, we know that Old-Man-Yama has been around for a 1,000+ years, his experience and power is peerless amongst the current generation of Captains he is Commander in Chief of. I'm not doubting that for a second. But, whose to say a particular a Vastro Lorde amongst the group Aizen summons, isn't such an experienced Veteran also. I would go as far to say that, Old-Man-Yama dies in a battle against the FIRST ever conceived Vastro Lorde in Hueco Muendo, the Vastro that appeared thousands of years before his eventual peers in the Menos-class joined him. For those thousands of years, his powers and abilities may have continued to grow and become potent, even if he/she has reached the final stage of Menos Hollow Evolution. And going on the statement by Hitsugaya, that Vastrol Lorde's combat abilities and potential, surpass Captains, then I'm even more further inclined to believe Old-Man-Yama would die at the hands of such a monstrosity with such frighteningly described powers.

Finally, if some of you ask me, 'How would Aizen get such a powerful being to become an ally? Good question, here's my answer, Aizen's abilities and power are arguably on-par with Old-Man-Yama (Their Battle Data is a Draw 560 a piece), but Aizen has something Old-Man-Yama doesn't have. Kyoka Suigetsu, that amazing Zanpaktou of Aizens, the Hypnotic abilities are beyond lethal and a countering it is seen as impossible (Kaname Tousen the only being we know of being immune to its affects). I believe that Zanpaktuo gives, Aizen the edge in battle with a Vastro Lorde of that caliber that I have described, furthermore Aizen's fearless nature that has been an inspiration for beings born from 'fear' (the Hollow) may actually be a 'fear' factor for my described Vastro Lorde in conjunction with the abilities of KyokaSuigetsu.

Karakura Arc, my belief is based on the perception of the limitations of the Espada and the Vizards powers and true hybrids of Hollow and Shinigami powers.

We all know that Aizen originally had an ambition of dissolving the boundaries between Hollow and Shinigami, so that Aizen himself may overcome his own limitations as a Shinigami, he claims to have reached his peak and proficiency with his Shinigami abilities. And we have seen this on TWO occasions, the first being in the Soul Society Arc, where he used the potent Black Coffin Spell lv. 90 without incantation or significant effort from himself; bringing Komamura-kun to his knees instantenously. In addition, he showed that 110 years previously before the events in the Soul Society Arc, in the Turn Back the Pendulum Arc that he had surpassed or was on even footing with the Kido Master Tessai Tsukabishi; when Aizen cast the infamous and forbidden Kido Spell 'Danku' (Splitting Void) and negated the effects of Tsukabishi-sans own spell completely.

Thus we do know Aizen is as powerful as he claims, I feel that this amazing individual, has surpassed Shinigami Commander in Chief Shigekuni Yamamoto or can engage him in combat on even footing (their Battle Data is 560 each). Plus, the amazing abilities of Aizens Kyoka Suigetsu, gives him an unsurpassed (from what we know and have seen) advantage in battle. Yet, he still wished to overcome his own limitations, to advance further in abilities and power. Why? We can only speculate, but we are inclined to believe that the powers of the Royal Guard or the King of Soul Society himself, may be truly fearsome and powerful indeed.

Thus, like Urahara Kisuke, Aizen arrived at the answer of Hollowification, for Shinigami's to overcome their limitations and advance further by learning and mastering the abilities of Hollows. He experimented on his own comrades, the Vizard, but felt his own experiment was a failure. The Hollow side of the Shinigami's in question, threatened to completely overwhelm their Shingami side and turn them into complete Hollows. He continued his research, he stumbled upon the work of Kisuke Urahara and discovered the substance known as the Orb of Distortion, this substance seemed more potent and efficient than Aizen's own previous method. And as we know, the events of the Soul Society Arc were a conciet, in order to hide the true objective of both sides (Aizen and Ichigo Kurosaki's group, although they were unaware to the Orbs existence and its presence in Rukia) trying to claim the Orb of Distortion within the Soul of Kuchiki Rukia.

Now, to current events, the Vizard and the Espada, entities that have torn down the boundaries of Shinigami and Hollows. With the Orb of Distortion, Aizen proceeded to create the perfect hybrid, a being capable of fulling emulating the abilities of Shinigami and Hollows thus overcoming the limitations of both these spiritual entities. The key word is hybrid, I need to thank Shady for pointing this out to me, he is very intelligent individual in his own right. He put forward this interesting notion and hypothesis to me in the Shirosaki threads of this board, he asserted that true hybrids do not go back and forth in their transformations. Rather, they express and show their hybrid power, in ONE true form. He believed Kurosaki Ichigo's Human Soul, as a foundation in the acquisition of his Hollow and Shinigami powers, was the 'missing link' between Shinigami and Hollows; and that the Human Soul possed a certain property that would allow Shinigami's and Hollows to become true hybrids. Now Shady's idea is wonderful, he really knows his stuff, but I had a problem with it. The Human Soul, Hollows and Shinigami, both come from the Human Soul making a transition to Hollow or Shinigami. Renji and Rukia during their lives in the Rukongai, were originally Pulses, before they became Shinigami. Therefore, if Shady's assertion was correct, that gave every Shinigami and Hollow the potential to become true hybrid beings. I couldn't agree, but Shady had REALLY captured my interest.

Kurosaki Ichigo, this man looks, smells and screams unconventional. Its true, he claimed the powers of a Shinigami in the most unconventional manner, that the manga could present us with. He exhibited all the normal traits of a Shinigami in the beginning, but then not long after, he started exhibiting Hollow traits. I agree with Shady, Kurosaki Ichigo is a true hybrid, I don't doubt that. But unlike Shady, I dont agree that his Human Soul, is what will allow him to become a true hybrid of Hollow and Shinigami power. I believe from the moment he gained Shinigami powers, Kurosaki Ichigo WAS a true hybrid of Shinigami and Hollow powers, that is Zangetsu and Shirosaki are the true hybrid. .(A £1,000 quid says Urahara Kisuke is aware of this fact). You see, Zangetsu and Shirosaki are NOT a separate entity, I dont believe that. I use too, but it was strange how one WOULD be there but the other one WASNT there, TWO separate entities do not hide or disappear when the other decides to appear. Zangetsu, the Old-Man, the spirit of Ichigo's Zanpaktuo. He gives Ichigo access to the abilities of a Shinigami, such as Shunpo, Kido (if Ichigo choose to practice and use this art) and Zanjutsu (using a Zanpaktuo); he further allows Ichigo have access to the Shinigami release states as Shikai and Bankai. He does exhibit evidence of this hybridisation in the beginning for us all to see, the Getsuga Tensho, the Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer(or Pierce of Heaven); a standard technique that has the users reiatsu consumed and shot at the target in the form of a Cresent Moon. But I strongly believe, this IS NOT, Zangetsu's own original technique. I believe, it is the technique of Shirosaki, who has implied it as his own technique and from the analysis of the technique possessing similarities to the Hollow technique Cero. Shirosaki, in his Inner Battle with Ichigo when the attack was used against him, stated that Ichigo was foolish for thinking he did not know the 'weakness' to his own technique and proceed to use the technique in proper manner against Ichigo. Significantly harming Ichigo, the recipient of the attack, which could be testament to him being the original author of the technique. Ulquoirra has stated, in recent chapters of our reading, that the Black Getsuga Tensho is similar to his own Cero Oscura. These assertions and comments, do imply that from the beginning, Zangetsu was displaying hybrid properties of Ichigo's powers with his incorporation of Shirosaki's (the Hollow side of this joint power) technique as his own. As Zangestu was the dominant personality of their joint power, he had full access to all their joint abilities and powers (this is in relation to how strong they are tho, as in the stronger they become, the more techniques of their own respective race they have access to, thus Zangetsu could not allow Ichigo to use Cero because Shirosaki hadnt grown strong enough to use that technique). And I can give further evidence for this hybrididation of their power theory, Shirosaki himself, he uses a Shikai form and a Banaki form. That screams hybrid, he has access to all the releases Zangetsu can give Ichigo as a Shinigami. Kurosaki Ichigo is the only true hybrid that Kubo will present, due to his unconventional build (his high reiatsu, and fast growth abilities for a Human I mean) and his unconventional gaining of spiritual abilities. That is what I perceive and believe, unless Kubo obviously proves my idea wrong. Thus, the Vizard and Espada, are Fakes imitations. (Fake Karkura Town Arc, Fake hybrids, see the connection guys?) Kurosaki Ichigo WILL BECOME the most POWERFUL being in BLEACH, no doubt in my mind.

Now, back to the point, sorry about that I just needed to show some proper analysis for my idea. Thanks for baring with me

Due to the Espada and Vizard being Fakes or imitations of a true hybrid, I assume Aizen is aware of their limitations, and uses them as fodder for his true plans. I believe, he realized long ago, that these hybrid imitations would not be the true back bone to his Army. In fact, I believe that the Vastro Lorde, are what he has been after all along. Now, Im not saying the Vastro Lorde are 'hands down' the most powerful beings in the BLEACH universe, but I feel they posses an advantage over these imitation hybrids that Aizen is aware of. He's just too calm, too relaxed, whats going on? Do you see my point? I'm not sure what those advantages are, we still don't know enough about the Vastro Lorde, it might that they have been around long enough to posses power greater to these imitation hybrids Aizen has been possibly using as a cover. We know the Vastro Lorde are a minority class Menos, in Hueco Munedo, we don't know how long they may have been around for and we dont know if their power stops growing even if they have reached the final stage of their evolution. We just know, that they posses, superior combat abilities and potential than the average Shinigami Captain. What is an average Captain anyway? Do we honestly know? No, we speculate and while that is not wrong, it is not correct either. Now, I said that these imitation hybrids posses limitations, Im not to sure what those are either. But this is, what I feel, Aizen has realised. Thats why, he does not seem bothered or worried about the current state of the Espada, with 5 dead and 1 incapacitated. Or the Vizards presence in the Living World, where they pose a significant threat to his Espada. It's just too peculiar to ignore, dont you agree?

Anyway, due to my thoughts and feelings on the Vizard/Espada, this is why I feel we will see 3 Vastro Lorde appear at Fake Karkura Town. And I believe 3 specifically, with an especially powerful ONE amongst the THREE, if it is possible that I am reading BLEACH and what Kubo implies correctly.

Now, finally, I DO NOT believe that my idea is correct, and IS THE WAY Kubo is leaning towards. This is only my own speculation and analysis of Kubo's work, I AM NOT KUBO, never will be. I just wish, to share my ideas and thoughts, towards this marvelous work of his. Which I am sure, we all enjoy very much, and finally I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my post. They are time consuming, I know, but I only wish to assert myself well and properly so that there are no misunderstandings or accusations of 'stupidity' or 'ignorance.'

In order to understand this post, you MUST have read my previous posts, within this thread. Otherwise, my work may not make sense to you, this is a continuation of my FIRST post within this thread.

Now, I feel Aizen is employing a tactic of, isolation and separation on the Gotei 13 and the Vizard. This is what he wants, I feel, Aizen is just to 'comfortable' with the current situation of things. And I feel, that his confidence is a hint, at a possible 'Trump Card' that I said may be the Vastro Lorde appearing at the Fake Karakura Arc.

Now, I said isolation and seperation are the tactics he's using against the Gotei 13 and the Vizard. Now I would like to say, I dont think all the Vizard will appear at the Fake Karakura Town, I feel that a specific set of the Vizard will appear. Now, I assert this reason due to Urahara Kisuke, we have yet to see this cunning and resourceful individual make an appearance let alone a move in this conflict. I feel that Kisuke will need key figures among the Vizard, to help him in the execution of a certain plan. Kisuke Urahara is a shrewd individual, furthermore he is an astute and very perceptive man, while he has played a minor role in the Fake Karakura Town Arc (in constructing and establishing the Four Pillars). I thinks its rather bizarre that we have not witnessed any further activities by him, however this is understandable, as Kisuke favors appearing or making a move when the time calls for it. And I feel, that HE will be the one to see through Aizens tactic, and plan a counter-attack as I say based on my perception of Aizens plan. Therefore, I feel NOT ALL the Vizard, WILL be present at the current battle of the Fake Karakura Town; some of their members may be involved with Urahara's plan.

In think my notion of isolation and separation as Aizen's tactic, makes sense, we have already seen Aizen isolate 3 members of the Gotei 13 by trapping them in Hueco Muendo. The Captains appearance there, is what I feel Aizen expected, due to him inspiring a rescue attempt for military asset Substitute Shinigami Kurosaki Ichigo and valuable asset Inoue Orihime. For Aizen to have both of these individuals under his sphere of influence, was not what Yamamoto-Ganryusai wanted, Kurosaki Ichigo and Inoue Orihime posses VERY POTENT powers. I felt Yamamoto-Ganryusai was fine with leaving Inoue with Azien, because her abilities had not manifested in a way, that could threaten Soul Society as a whole. I(noue has not even touched the Orb of Distortion) We are still in the dark, about Inoue Orihime's abilities, but I do feel Kubo will reveal the TRUE EXTENT of her abilities soon. As such, Yamamoto-Ganryusai was fine with branding her a traitor for the time being, but with Kurosaki Ichigo's departure to Hueco Muendo Yamamoto-Ganryusai may have felt the Gotei deprived of valuable military asset now or in future. As such, I feel he ordered the rescue of both Kurosaki Ichigo and Inoue Orihime, just as Aizen had expected him to. And thus, fell pray to Azien's trap, by imprisoning them in Hueco Muendo thus cutting the Gotei 13 battle strength to less than half.

With the current situation now, I feel Aizen was expecting Soul Society to substitute the current Karakura Town, which is along the lines of what Aizen wanted them to do. I think Arrancar attacks over the months, 2 on orders from Aizen and the unauthorised attack of Grimmjow, inspired concern in Soul Society that Aizen was ready to attack Karakura Town at anytime. Thus, to substitute the Real Karakura Town with a Fake Karakura Town, would mean that the Gotei 13 could do battle without the fear of Aizen sacrificing the town and achieving his objective. With this decesion to substitute the Real Karakura Town, I feel that Soul Society has moved exactly as Aizen has wanted them to, Aizen is too calm too collected. The state of the Espada does not bother him at all, and that is why I feel he posses the Vastro Lorde already as a 'Trump Card', and here is why I feel that way.

I feel Aizen wants to create an environment of anarchy, within the World of the Living, and that the Vastro Lorde and the Soul Society's current move of substituting the Real Karakura Town with a Fake Karakura Town is a part of that plan. With the Vastro Lorde, I feel Aizen will summon 3 specifically, but not at the same time. Now, we know that Adjuchas Class Menos, may command Gillan Class Menos. Its possible, that Vastro Lorde may be able to do the same, they are at higher evolutionary stage than the Adjuchas and most definitely posses more powerful abilities and combat potential than the Adjuchas. So, why is it that they may be unable to command Hollows as well, like the Adjuchas prior to them? I feel that they can, and this 'one' of the reasons that Aizen desires them highly for, along with their fearsome strength and power. In Fake Karakura Town, Aizen will summon 2 Vastro Lorde, it will be the job of these two Vastro Lorde to inspire a fear among the Gotei 13 that they will bring an imbalance to the World of the Living and Soul Society. I mean an imbalance of people living to those dead, by having the Vastro Lorde lead an army of Hollows across Japan (or the Globe) to devour Human Souls, thus creating a said imbalance between the World of the Living and Soul Society. This is a complicated theory, but I feel it can be explained, if I can just draw your attention to the Quincy. The Quincy were massacred for their abilities, their abilities allowed them to defeat Hollows, but that defeat led to the COMPLETE destruction of the Soul turned Hollow. Soul Society feared, that an imbalance of the Living World and the Soul Society would occur, due to the cycle of Reincarnation being disrupted by the eradication of Hollow Souls completely. Thus, the Quincy were massacred, as a result of this dangerous consequence of their abilities. This is the same thing, with a Mass Hollow invasion of the Living World, Hollows devouring the Human Soul will completely eradicate said Soul. I believe that these 2 Vastro Lorde will be the ones to lead this Invasion of Hollows, they will not engage in the current battlefield in the Fake Karakura Arc, they will appear to make their presence known to the Gotei 13 and Vizard.

Now, this will place the Gotei and the Vizard in a tough position, I believe Yamamoto-Ganryusai will form a coalition with the Vizard to gain their help in this matter. He will thus ask, that the current Gotei and Vizard engage the Two Vastro Lorde, and prevent a Hollow epidemic within the Living World leading to anarchy and chaos across Japan (or the World?). Yamamoto-Ganryusai, will remain behind to engage Aizen, Gin and Tousen, so as to not let them destroy the Three remaining Pillars and bring back the Real Karakura Town. Aizen, having predicted this, will summon the 3 Vastro Lorde. This is the Vastro Lorde that I believe, will hold the most signifcance, as he is this Vastro Lorde is the FIRST of its kind. The ORIGINAL Vastro Lorde that appeared, possibly thousands years ago, and whose powers possible continued to grow despite having reached the end of its 'evolution.' From there, Aizen will leave the Fake Karakura Town battlefield, and make his way to Soul Society for the Real Karakura Town and create the Kings Key. Yamamoto-Ganryusai and the Vastro Lorde will engage in A TRUE Shinigami vs. Hollow battle, I wanna emphasise that this battle, WILL BE EPIC. (May I also note, that ideals on the existence of Hollows and Shinigami will be exchanged between these two characters) During the battle, Yamamoto-Ganryusai will realize that if he destroys the Three remaining Pillars supporting the Fake Karakura, Aizens travel to Soul Society will be pointless and avert the creation of the Kings Key. He will attempt to do so, but ultimately fail because the Vastro Lorde's objective is to protect these Pillars, reversing Soul Society's own plan against them. Yamamoto-Ganryusai will the die in defeat to this formidable opponent, and the Vastro Lorde will seek to protect the remaining Three Pillars to ensure Aizen has his way in Soul Society.

Enter Hueco Muendo, were Urahara Kisuke has appeared before Kurosaki Ichigo, Inoue Orihime and Uryu Ishida with a grave look on his face. Having figured out Aizen's plan, he enlists the help of Kurosaki Ichigo and Uryu Ishida (I just want Ishida to have an important role, I'd say his Quincy ability to absorb spirit particles is what Urahara desires), to travel with himself, Hirako Shinji and Kensei Muguruma of the Vizard, and Yoruichi Shihoiin to Soul Society to confront Aizen.

[Theory] A 4th form for the swords

1st the zanpakuto are beings on their own, their power, attitude and personalities being independent and in several parts complementary to their owners. We don't know much about them, except that their power com from the reiatsu of the wielder and their inner strength.

2nd Zanpakutos and the power of a Shinigami both are identical to that of a hollow. This is entirely based on inner ichigo's hollow comments on the form and identity on the sword (I'm still learning to manage the forums like making spoilers and putting images, so I couldn't really put anything, but I assure you, they are in the story). Both the hollow and the shinigami's power come form the heart and inner self of a person, ergo one has the same properties of both shinigami and hollow. The realization of the existence of both powers into a single person is what creates the Vizards and the Arrancar.

3rd We have not seen the true extent of the hollowi-fication process, and the arrancar making process. The masks just give the vizards a boost in their already strong powers, but they are hardly enough to really defeat more powerful users.

4th the full extent of a shinigami in terms of power in martial art, sword, magic and flash steps are represented in Aizen, Gin and Tosen. They are more powerful than other captains (I think), and their powers have yet to be fully revealed. As far as we know they haven't turned themselves into Vizards either. The full extent of a hollow is represented in the Vasto Lorde. As fas as the series has gone, I think we have yet to see one. I think that Ichigo is probably a vasto lorde in his true hollow form, and the powers of a Vasto Lorde is far greater than that of a captain, and possibly could rival aizen. I don't think any of the espada was a vasto lorde.

5th Aizen is right. Just depending on one side of the power coin is not nearly enough to achieve the true meaning of power. In order to get to the next level a turn to the other side of the process is necessary.

6th Ichigo's transformation against Ulquiorra make me think as a true hollow-fication and the power of a vasto lorde fusing with a zanpakuto.

Now with all this being said, I think we can agree that both the Shinigami powers and the hollow powers come from the same inner self of the person, and albeit entirely different, they are part of a coin. Remember hollow ichigo saying that old man zangetsu and him could very well be the true form of Zangetsu the sword. He also said that Ichigo still lacked something to fully grasp the extent of his powers.

So the true shape of the sword is not Bankai. That is merely the representation of the true form of the physical form of the sword subjugating to the will of the wielder. It also only uses the shinigami side of power of the zanpakuto. To really wield a zanpakuto's true power, you must accept the fact that a hollow part resides within it as well and let it flourish and truly dominating it, the anger, the passion, the blood-lust of the hollow. The vizards are still a halfway project, they are far from the completed version, I think that Ichigo's form is also far from it, because it allows the hollow part to take over the shinigami part.

But what if by grasping the true extent of the hollow powers then a Shinigami can wield in his zanpakuto both his shinigami powers and his hollow powers. These would not be expressed on a mask or a complete hollowification of your body using a bankai zanpakuto which - could also serve as the fourth release of the sword I'm looking for, albeit i'd think it boring -, but it shows the true form of a sword's identity in grasping both the hollow part and the shinigami part. I call this release SHINKAI (I have no real basis for this it is just a name with shin meaning GOD), which has the true might of the sword with both the hollow and the shinigami powers. This 4th form will allow Aizen's final transformation and Ichigo's final form as well. The power to get this 4th release will alos be very difficult to grasp even far more difficult than the necessary to get Bankai.

It could take many forms - like the one mentioned above, although I repeat with the risk of sounding monotonous, I'd believe it to be boring - and it could have both hollow and shinigami parts in the release.

SOME COMMENTS

Vastro Lorde refers to the third stage of the evolution of a Menos Grande. Menos Grande are the result of hundreds of hollows fusing together. Thus, by default, it is impossible for a Vizard to become a Vastro Lorde, for Vizards aren't made up of hundreds of souls, and thus cannot qualify as Menos Grande.

Furthermore, a Vastro Lorde has nothing to do with combining Shinigami and hollow powers. A Vastro Lorde is a naturally occurring (albeit extremely rare) pure hollow. I'm doubtful that an Adjucha Arrancar is even capable of becoming a Vastro Lorde Arrancar, as Arrancar seem rather less carnivorous, thus stunting their growth as a hollow.

Also, there's no way that a hollow dying turns it into a Vastro Lorde. You can't compare a human's death to a hollow's death; rather, a hollow is like a Shinigami, a being that is already based on the death of a human.

Or it could also be two branches that merge together because the arrancer can be seen as hollow with shinigami powers and the vizard can be seen as shinigami with hollow powers.
Shinigami -> Vizard -> Vastro Lorde
Hollow -> Arrancer -> Vastro Lorde
This could also be why Aizen did what he did in the previous chapter.
People must die to gain Shinigami powers so maybe the same is true for the Espada?
Where as the Vizard have to lose complete control and give in to one of the "sins" (for Ichigo it was wrath).
In either case they become Vastro Lorde.
It would also be cool if Division 0 or the Kings Guard are all Vastro Lorde Shinigami.

The thogn is, that Aizen has made an assumption, which states that once you get you sword levels, kido levels, and flash levels to the ultimate, you get to a limit. If he who has trained to be the ultimate fighter gets to a limit using only shinigami powers, then it is not entirely crazy to assume that there must be other ways to become powerful. What Ichigo has said is that both the hollow part and the old man are the identity of Zangetsu. Therefore when one is dominant, the other remains dormant. Never the two are giving their true powers to the zanpakuto. Ergo if both of them submit their powers to the zanpakuto, then the true form shall be seen. The shinigami captains have never even considered using hollow powers. It is beneath them, you saw hoy they shunned the Vizards when they hollowified. So, they've never gotten themselves to use the hollow powers of the zanpakuto. A vasto lorde is the last part of a pure hollow growth. I think it's power may rival Aizen. Bankai are powerful, but they only use one part of the power of the shinigami. You must use both. The mask is just a medium way which is hardly the true power a shinigami can obtain. The same can have said for the Arrancars. There is a final stage, the 3rd release of the sword, that which can fully utilize both the shinigami and hollow powers of the zanpakuto.. Well, at least that's the theory

A third release would be unbelievable. Generations of Captains have trained for centuries and only obtained Bankai, so Ichigo getting a third release in a short year would be completely spitting on the idea of releases being difficult to obtain. I also don't think Ichigo needs any new weapon. He needs to master his current weapons. Shirosaki makes Ichigo look like a 5 year old every time he picks Zangetsu up, Shikai or Bankai. That, and Zangetsu needs to have more than just the Getsuga Tensho ability. Anyway, Kubo seems to be focused on developing Ichigo's Hollow abilities - which makes sense. Kubo unwittingly made his main character uninterested in kido, the most diverse and malleable skill in the manga. He also negated Tensa Zangetsu's speed boost after the Dordonii fight. So yeah.

[Theory] The Overall Plot of Bleach

Based on what's happened so far in Bleach I feel like it's time to make an educated guess about the overall plot, since once Aizen gets into the Royal Dimension (or whatever it's called), a lot of plot will get spilled all at once. And yes, I do think it's completely inevitable that he is going to get in there... they've already made it too mysterious to let go.

Yes, this will be a wall of text. Sorry in advance.

So here's my idea:

A long time before the start of the story, Aizen Sousuke was the son of the King of Soul Society. Isshin Kurosaki was a captain of the Royal Guard. Masaki was probably the daughter of the King - thus Aizen's brother. One of the following scenarios occurred:

1. Aizen committed some crime, possibly attempting to kill the King (he may even have succeeded for all we know). However, something went wrong, and using his powers of illusion, he managed to shift some or all of the blame onto Masaki. Isshin knew she was innocent, so he helped her escape to Earth, where they hid themselves (as captain class, they are good at hiding their spirit power for a time).

2. Masaki fell in love with Isshin, which enraged the bad King. Aizen used his powers to help them escape, and was forced to flee himself. He also hid them from view using his power. Interestingly, Aizen is GOOD in this scenario (similar to Uchiha Sasuke). As captain class, they are good at hiding their spirit power for a time.

After a while, Aizen changes his name to "Aizen Sosuke" and joins the Gotei 13 (he couldn't have joined using a Royal name - and Sosuke means "smooth," "complete," or "clever." - probably a joke). He possesses enormous spirit power because of his royal heritage, but knows he will need far greater power to reinvade the Royal Dimension. Seeing the Gotei 13 as enemies, he decides to make use of them in experiments, and eventually infiltrates the Gotei 13 as a full captain.

Along the way, he recruits Ichimaru Gin and Tousen Kaname. Gin in my opinion is just a typical "scary sidekick", but Tousen Kaname probably knows the truth. That's why he said that his justice would be "covered in blood", and that he IS walking the path of justice in rebelling against Soul Society. This makes it more likely that the second scenario is true (Good Aizen).

Aizen is discovered at his nasty work in Soul Society, and uses it against the people who were near to figuring him out, Urahara, Yourichi, and Tessai. They get banished to Earth, where they meet Isshin and Masaki. Urahara figures out who they really are, and gives them gigai, making them lose their power, and making them truly undetectable.

Aizen eventually goes to Hueco Mundo and starts recruiting Hollows, building the Palace of Las Noches as a direct challenge aimed at his father, the King. It is also possibly an expression of his desire to return to the Royal Dimension, that he makes a sort of copy of it. His fearlessness confronting the former King/God of Las Noches, the 2nd Espada, seems to confirm his royal way of looking down at the world.

Ichigo is born, a new potential royal heir to the throne. Isshin and Masaki know that conflict must result, so they start redeveloping their atrophied spirit power.

A hollow tries to kill Ichigo, and his mother manages to save him by sacrificing herself. Was this an assassination attempt? Possibly. The Grand Fisher becomes an Arrancar later, so Aizen clearly had an interest in this hollow.

Ichigo meets Rukia and his powers, long suppressed, are finally released. Isshin notices the change, but knows that he isn't strong enough to help yet, and as the royal heir Ichigo must follow his own path in any case.

Urahara starts training Ichigo, who achieves Shikai in an insanely short time. He also gets his inner hollow.

Ichigo gets his bankai just a few days later, fighting Capt. Kuchiki.

Ichigo fights (well he tries) against Aizen. Aizen pretends to try to cut him in half, but doesn't kill him, recognizing him as a brother. As he leaves, he comments that Ichigo is an "interesting human" and rises into the sky.

After that, we have the whole arc of Captains and Espadas fighting, all the Espadas getting killed (Yammy soon as well probably). After all, Aizen, as the future King, doesn't like Hollows. Why not get rid of them in the process?

SO! The future! Here are my predictions:

Aizen will win and invade the Royal Dimension, after having a fight with Ichigo. During the fight he tells Ichigo that they are related, throwing Ichigo off. Ichigo is all confused, and Isshin tells him the truth about his heritage.

Aizen further reveals his intentions - he will use the Hougyoku as a nuke, in order to bring down the Royal Palace and kill the King by corrupting his spirit power. (Ichigo is the only guy immune to this btw...)

With this, everything is finally heaped on Ichigo. Leading the remnants of the Gotei 13 as the Prince of Soul Society, they follow Aizen. Grimmjow and some other Hollows join them, and Shinigami and Hollow march together for the first time, fearing that Aizen's plan is going to destroy both their worlds.

Ichigo and Aizen eventually face off, and Ichigo finally becomes one with his inner Hollow, obtaining the power of both worlds. Aizen starts to get overpowered, and drops the Hougyoku into the Well (I'm willing to bet there will be a Well of Spiritual Power for the World, or something like that). He transforms into a Hollow and loses his mind, and Ichigo sacrifices himself to destroy Aizen and stop the Hougyoku. Ichigo dies.

Inoue gets all upset and denies his fate, bringing Ichigo back from the dead. They become the new King and Queen of the Universe (Infinite Power + Fate Denial). Happy ending.

SOME COMMENTS

i think that Aizen is or rather was the spirit King. Due to certain cirumstances he may have been overthrown or exhiled by the current king and stripped of his powers, maybe even sentenced to death. I always assumed that maybe in losing his thrown he was able to make a desperate escape into soul society and start a completely new life. I also think his zanpakuto is from the royal dimension, maybe he stole it, or it actually belonged to him b4 these events which would explain why it's so "hax" This leads to Aizen wanting to return back to his home dimension and make things right and get his throne back (doesn't neccisarly make him good, maybe he is truly evil and was a terrible ruler) so yeah he sets this elaborate plan in motion which we are witnessing now

anyway again this is my short version. but somewhere in the midst of all that i feel that Ishin was in the royal guard, and Aizen's brother as well. (this would almost logically explain ichigo's insane strength, and random a$$ power ups) he may have been exhiled or escaped with Aizen simply for the fact that no matter how much wrong Aizen did he is still his brother. (this could explain how he knows of Aizen) after the exhile or escape, they went their seperate ways with Ishin going into the human world meeting Ichigo's mom (which could explain why she couldn't see grand fisher and that she was just an ordinary human) and being content with his life . (this could also explain why he is unfamiliar with the Vizards and doesn't know their whole story since he left SS sometime b4 they came into play) while Aizen became obsessed with returning to his fomer glory.

and of course somewhere between this Urahara meets him and the human world and finds that they have some Aizen in common. and the bleach story lines plays out from here.

however even tho we both may be completely off i'm sure Aizen must have some connection to this king lol

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the subject of arancars being able to reproduce. We know that their is male and female arancars. (VERY HOT FEMALES.) Hollows that gain shinigami powers are known as arancars. They have a basically human form. They have the feelings of human hate, envy fear, and possibly love. We know that shinigami can reproduce because of the royal families. Noble families. someone is born into royalty. The fact that ichigo's dad isshin is a shinigami proves that shinigami can procreate.

If you take that as truth thenit is only logical to assume that vizards?arancar can do the same. if it were possible for a human to interbreed with a hollow/vizard. well that may mean that isshin was a vizard or arrancar(vizard is the most possible)...

maybe he became a vizard when isshin was dealing with a hollow that crumbles the barrier of the world of zanpakuto and the world of hollow within the soul.... soon he was hollowfied and urahara found this out, knowing the laws on hollowfication, he wants to save isshin from a death sentence so he was experimenting on how to control his powers, he come to a theory about gigais that makes you lose power to control the vizardish reiatsu that would make them all in trouble if they were detected cause they might've be judge doing illegal experiments on high level shinigamis...

As neither arrancar nor vizards appear to age, then it's unlikely that they could reproduce. Although time has passed since Ichigo first met Rukia, can you be sure that he's actually aged? He appears to be the same height and everything. As soon as Ichigo gained an inner hollow from Urahara's Pit, which wasn't too much after he met Rukia and then she was taken away to SS, you can't honestly tell if he's aged. Sure, he's only 15-16, so six months to one year's difference isn't too great; however, he should've grown a bit taller, yet his growth has appeared stagnant.

I'll admit that this is a shonen manga, where not all of the rules of the real world apply, but Ichigo's growth/aging, or lack thereof, is a point of interest.

Just because you can establish an attraction doesn't mean they can procreate...which is what you're trying to argue here.

Let me ask you this...how does a mule procreate? If you say by another mule...it would be wrong. Mules are actually the offspring of a donkey and a horse. Since the two have a few genetic differences, the mule is sterile.

Now, take a look at an Arrancar and a Vizard. If an Arrancar is a Shinigamified Hollow and a Vizard a Hollified Shinigami...because of the "genetic" differences, they would become sterile. Hence, no procreation.

it may be that arancar 's are sterile. because a hollow cant procreate. unless a VL can. which is very possible because they are human in all aspects other then being super strong hollow.

but i think the rules that apply to soulreapers also apply to vizards. vizards are soulreapers that have become one with their inner hollow. i dont think that would make them sterile. so i believe that a vizard can procreate. the only kink in that is the vizards havent aged one bit since becoming vizards. just like arancar dont age. while shinigami do age. if you take that into acount it really is possible that vizards and arancar are sterile. or if they arnt their off spring would be a zygote(odd # of chromosomes.) really we dont know and probably never will unless someone asked Tite at a interview. But atleast we know for fact that shinigami can and probably vizards can. and this is pure speculation but i would say VL could reproduce before being arancarized. due to the fact that a VL is human in apperance they have a brain organs blood bones so why nut junk.

I might..Im pushing it by saying Inoue is some sort of True Shinigami/Hollow Hybrid like Kurosaki Ichigo..Im sure that idea can be proven wrong, but when you look at it like that it does make sense..the hairpins do act like some sort of Zanpakutuo..and Hacchi remarking upon her powers as similar to his own, only lead me to think that he Inoue could be a Hollow/Shinigami Hybrid but not like Hacchi and the Vizard thus she could be more akin to Kurosaki Ichigo with his True Hybrid Status..

She could actually be the true hybrid..I mean she exhibits all her powers at once..but again Im just speculating wildly here..

But if Im correct and her and Ichigo have children, again their potential would be terrifying..

377 Shout at the Dark

Hey there everyone, welcome to yet another Bleach review. This week we have chapter 377, Shout at the Dark.

So last week we witnessed how Aizen struck down Harribel for a second time as she survived the initial attack. What I wanted to know was what you guys thought of this merciless slashing and stabbing in the Tercera Espada and these are the results:

Preparations for a Beat Down

Wouldn’t the beat down come AFTER the preparations?

Last week the chapter ended with Kensei stopping Wonderweiss from mercilessly attacking Mashiro and telling him he would beat him up. This week the chapter starts with Kensei returning the favor with interest by punching Wonderweiss in his right side of the face -favor returned- and smashing him into a few buildings -first part of the interest- while holding the injured Mashiro. The peculiar thing is that Wonderweiss actually looked surprised as this happened as opposed to the ecstatic look he had last week. Perhaps he realized what Kensei was saying, or maybe he was unable to notice the punch coming, but Wonderweiss did sense something bad may be happening in the nearby future.

The Splattered Bug

You’d think wearing a mask in battle would protect the face…

Following last week’s prediction, Kensei puts Mashiro somewhere save before he decides to beat up Wonderweiss. While Kensei is looking in one of his pockets, Mashiro wakes up as she asks him whether he’ll avenge her. With half her face beaten up and her right goggle cracked -seems like the goggles are on while she uses her mask MAX - it is pretty strange that she is this beaten by just this. Looking at the Bleach standards for being beaten, just one punch in the face seems a bit strange. The only explanation for this would be that Mashiro’s Reiatsu was so weak after losing her mask that Wonderweiss’ Reiatsu was high enough to beat her with a mere punch, though admittedly concussions also often help in taking people down. Somewhat comforted by the fact that Kensei is going to avenge her, Kensei doesn’t allow her this sensation as he tells her he isn’t going to avenge her.

The Preparations

Putting brats in their place is his thing

Taking his Tachikaze out of his pocket, Kensei tells Mashiro that there’s no point in avenging someone who doesn’t listen to his advice. As Wonderweiss flies out of the building he was smashed into, Kensei tells Mashiro he is going to put Wonderweiss in his place using his fist, even though he’s holding a dagger.
Now there’s one thing I have to go into quickly when it comes to Tachikaze. In the Turn Back the Pendulum arc, Tachikaze was in its sealed state until he released it. But ever since Kensei became a Vizard it seems like he keeps Tachikaze in its Shikai state. Perhaps it is so that he can have it hidden on him all the time, but it is rather peculiar to see from at least a captain class Shinigami. It is also possible that sealing Zanpakutou is a rule in Soul Society which Shinigami are forced to follow -if possible- and that Kensei never liked the rule. But enough about Kensei’s Shikai. As Wonderweiss’ face once again shines with joy, Kensei fans probably feel the same with the introduction of Tachikaze’s Bankai!

Tekken Tachikaze

Why are you destroying the building where you let Mashiro rest up?!

Tekken Tachikaze, probably one of the smallest Bankai since Tensa Zangetsu, brother to Gantenbein’s Dragula, these were thoughts that came up when I first saw it. But somehow it suits Kensei. With his arms wrapped in some form of cloth which sticks out behind him as well as two claws in his hands it seems we can expect Kensei to do some major damage. I honestly don’t know how it could work other than probably increase the strength of Kensei’s arms and maybe his speed. In its Shikai state it seemed to be able to blow destructive slashes of winds which exploded on contact with the opponent (Turn Back the Pendulum 5), so perhaps the Bankai will multiply the damage it can do.

Approach with caution

Do Not Feed the Lady Killer

As the battle between Kensei and Wonderweiss starts, tension runs high amongst those facing Aizen. As Hiyori’s mask disappears -to recharge- we see she is itching to beat him down. Shinji notices this and as Aizen’s former captain he tells everyone to be cautious of Aizen’s power as any slipup could have dire consequences. Aizen has a slightly amused look on his face as he listens to Shinji’s warning while staring right at Hiyori. While Hiyori knows that Shinji is actually referring to her having to be cautious, her hatred towards Aizen makes her even more impatient. She lets Shinji know that she gets it, to which he replies in his usual manner of telling her he wasn’t talking to her, though he still is trying to have her calm down a bit.

Pushing Buttons

I’m still not sure what’s sharper. His sword or his tongue…

Aizen took heed of the situation and quickly devised a little scheme to entertain himself a bit. Aizen starts to tell his opponents that being cautious won’t help them at all as their fate had already been decided a long time ago. The most notable reaction is Hiyori’s, who is easily irritated by Aizen’s mockery of Shinji’s warning. Aizen then tells them that their demise had been settled a long time ago, a remark which the former captains already know the result to. Though Shinji tries to stop Aizen’s plan from coming to fruition, Aizen’s provocation continues as he tells the Vizards that they already died 100 years ago.

Aww Snap

Congratulations Aizen, you managed to anger Hiyori… Like that’s hard to do…

The straw that broke the camel’s back, telling the Vizards that they died 100 years ago broke the last of Hiyori’s patience. Before Aizen’s cruel experiments, her live was good as lieutenant of the 12th squad, third in command of the research department, plenty of comrades and an everyday live. Then Aizen turned her into a Hollow and put the blame on the man she came to open up to after such a long time and who helped her regain her sense of self. Her live ended 100 years ago as she was forced to live while being shunned by her former comrades and being in constant hiding. Having the culprit pointing this out to you is just adding insult to injury. While the other Vizards were able to come to terms with these facts, Hiyori being the youngest was most troubled by all of this. As Hiyori charges towards Aizen with her Kubikiri Orochi, blinded with rage, she is suddenly attacked by a beast viler than Aizen.

Gin’s Back

Just when you thought Gin was starting to behave

A sudden swipe of a blade as Hiyori’s attack is stopped in its tracks. As the pain starts to set in Hiyori sees her legs falling down as she sees Gin standing behind her with his ever mischievous smile holding his Shikai. If only she had focused on her surroundings or at least had her mask on to increase her abilities to start evading as soon as Gin’s blade struck her side. But Gin’s attack is as merciless as when we first saw it as it slashes straight through the young Vizard as if it was nothing. Gin then retracts his Shinsou while showing us that he is at least as good at making provocative remarks as Aizen with his little “one down” comment.

Cruel Reality

No matter how you look at it, this picture is gruesomely awesome

Shinji immediately rushes to catch Hiyori’s upper body after which he tries to get her to respond. With the most gentle face we’ve seen from Hiyori since, well, ever she apologizes to Shinji for being so impatient. As Shinji notices that Hiyori is still alive he immediately reacts by calling out to Hacchi. But as he looks at Hacchi he sees that Hacchi’s as stunned as he is by the sight of the damage dealt to Hiyori. From what I can make up of this situation, Hacchi’s healing abilities are probably available to him when he has two arms and even then they are bound to certain limitations. This was also shown in chapter 237 where Hacchi wasn’t able to completely heal Ichigo -although that had to do with other limitations as well. We then see a glimpse of Orihime in Shinji’s flashback as he remembers there’s someone who can even heal this level of injury.

A Shout at the Dark

Where’s the fourth squad when you need them huh?

Shinji says to himself that if Orihime were there, she’d be able to heal Hiyori. Shinji’s composure starts to fade as the girl who he cares so deeply for lies heavily injured in his arms. The same girl who he always loved to tease, the girl he kept treating the same way as always for the past 100 years to make sure she wouldn’t feel like she lost everything, the girl that he treated as family for as long as he can remember may now be dying unless Ichigo manages to make it in time. Crying out into the sky he wonders whether Ichigo can finally come back, as the scene changes to the only chance Hiyori has left.

Return of the Deathberry

It’s that protagonist guy!

Well I’m back to being wrong with my predictions as I thought that Kubo would stick in the fake Karakura town for a while. But I’m glad we finally go back to Ichigo, though with all the critically injured in the fake Karakura town, Ichigo had better bring Orihime there as soon as possible. Where Ichigo didn’t have to make haste at first as the Gotei 13 and the Vizards were taking care of things on their side, the pressure is on for him to quickly get all his friends and allies back to one place and to take Orihime back with them. Things to note are the fact that Ichigo’s still running around with his clothes torn up and his left arm wrapped in bandages. Instead of re-releasing his Bankai to at least get the coat back or having Orihime restore everything, Ichigo’s arm was wrapped up quickly to go down the white tower. So Orihime probably is busy healing Ishida’s injuries as Ichigo somehow managed to regenerate himself, where even Ichigo sensed the release of the 0 Espada Yammy. Knowing Ichigo he only agreed to put on the bandages on his left arm so that he could get to Rukia, Chad, and Renji as soon as possible while having Orihime heal Ishida first so that he can keep her save. Ichigo’s such a simpleton that way .

Overview

So what can I say about this week’s chapter? Kensei showed us the first of the Vizard’s Bankai -just as the first Vizard Shikai-, Aizen showed us that he still enjoys small schemes to entertain himself, Gin is the same bastard as he’s always been, Hiyori will die unless Orihime gets there on time -the same may hold true for Ukitake-, and finally we get to Las Noches again. It was a really good chapter even though Kensei’s Bankai was rushed a bit -I just wanted to have a better look at it- as we finally get back to Ichigo. Of course it is a bit disappointing that it had to happen at the start of Kensei’s fight. So what do I expect to see next week?

Predictions

I guess it’s clear what I’m going to predict. Ichigo flies down the white tower as the scene will change to Orihime and Ishida to confirm the expectations I put up at the end of the chapter. The scene may change to Kenpachi, Mayuri, Byakuya, and Unohana for a bit as well to see whether they noticed Yammy’s release. Then we’ll see Ichigo coming to the ground as he witnesses the situation with Rukia, Chad, and Renji before the chapter ends.

Hiyori begins to remove her mask.

Hitsugaya, Love, Rose Hacchi, Soifon are standing around.

Hirako: "Don't approach carelessly. With Aizen's ability, getting close without thinking would be the end."

Hiyori: "I know."

Hirako: "Fool. I'm talking to you. Loosen your grip, Hiyori"

Aizen: "As expected, profound words of sympathy, Captain Hirako."

Hiyori makes an irritated face.

Hirako: "Hiyori!"

Aizen: "'But saying that it'll be over if you approach. Don't try to be funny. Approaching carelessly or cautiously, or even not at all, the conclusion will be the same. I'm not creating your future story.

It's already too late for you to escape your demise because of the facts from the past."

Love and Rose are irritated too.

Hirako: "He's trying to provoke you! Don't give in!!"

Aizen: "Is there something you're afraid of?

Even though on that night a hundred years ago all of you died already."

Hiyori angrily moves toward Aizen.

Hirako stops her. "Hiyori!!"

Hiyori raises her sword.

She's split in 2.

Hiyori sees the bottom half of her body fall away.

She was sliced from behind by Gin's extended sword.

Gin: "The customer is finished." [TN: Gin literally says "one person is finished," but he talks like he's a
restaurant worker and Hiyori is the customer. Gin speaks in Kansai dialect and characters who speak
that dialect are often portrayed as shopkeepers, so this may be Kubo's way of poking fun at that stereotype.]

Hirako: "Hiyorii!!!"

He rushes over and holds her upper body.

Hiyori, with faith breath:

"I'm sorry...Shinji...I couldn't stand it..."

Hirako is shocked.

Hirako: "Hacchi!!!"

He notices that Hacchi can't use his right arm.

He remembers Orihime.

Hirako: "That's right...with Orihime-chan's ability we can still cure you...! Ichigo!!! Ichigo still hasn't returned...? Ichigo!!!"

Two page spread of Ichigo leaping.

Text says, "Will he bein in time...!?"

Kensei stops WW's punch with the palm of his hand and, grasping WW's fist tight, tosses him with all his might.

Then Kensei, holding Mashiro with his right arm, goes to the roof of the nearest building and gently lays her down.

Mashiro: "Ke-... Kensei... you're gonna... avenge me...? Heh-heh..."

Her face is swollen and there's a trickle of blood oozing from her mouth, and she's obviously in pain when saying this to Kensei.

Kensei: What are you looking so happy for, idiot. It's because you didn't listen to my warning it turned like this. Who's gonna avenge such a fool! I'm just gonna make this arrogant kid take a punch from my fist, is all.

And Kensei takes his sword out of a sidepocket of his pants.

Kensei: Bankai, "Tekken Tachikaze"!!! (Iron fist of Earth-severing wind)

With this, both ends become sharp, the sword turning into an axe-like thing that is grasped by Kensei's both hands, and a spiral-shaped thing (it's hard to say what it is exactly) coils around his arm

WW: Oaaaaa

Kensei: Oooooo

All of a sudden WW, war crying and aiming at Kensei, appears before a bankaid Kensei, aiming at him and ready to attack. Kensei faces him head-on.

Aizen appears before Hirako and Co all of a sudden.

hiyori: Aizen...

Hirako: ...Don't get near him carelessly. The moment you approach him without considering that ability of his first, everything will be over.

Hiyori: ...I know.

Hirako: Fool, I'm not talking to you. Don't grip your sword so tight, Hiyori.

Hiyori is irritated. Aizen, with a smile on his face, glances at Hiyori, who seems to calm down somehow after Hirako's words, and at Hirako and says

Aizen: What deep and considerate words, Hirako-taichou - as one would expect from you. But don't make it sound as if it's all over only in case you approach me carelessly. The conclusion will be the same whether you choose to approach with or without caution. There's no future for you. It's not that it's too late to escape, it's just that your demise is already a past fact.

Aizen's words get reaction out of Hiyori, Love and Rose.

Hirako: It's provocation! Don't fall for it!

Aizen: What is there to fear? You already died that night hundred years ago.

Hiyori loses her patience at these Aizen's words, grips her sword in the right hand and breaks into run charging Aizen.

Hirako: Hiyorii!!!

And at this moment Hiyori's body cleaved right in two, her lower half is still running, while her apper body still gripping her sword.

Hiyori turns her head and in her eyes there's a reflection of Gin, holding his greatly elongated sword that has just cut her in half, and her own split body from waist down.

Gin: One down!

Hirako: Hiyori!!!

Hirako rushes to her screaming.

He picks up the listless upper half of her body that was about to fall down to the ground and calls to her loudly.

Hirako: Hiyori!

Hiyori hearing Hirako calling to her answers with difficultly and almost inaudibly

Hirako: Hiyori!　

Hiyori: S..sorry... Shinji... I couldn't... keepmy patience...

Hiyori squeezes these words out with a pain-distorted face.

Hirako: Hacchi!

He tries to catch the sight of Hacchi, but sees that Hacchi is missing his left arm and, thus, can't help Hiyori. Desperate, Hirako remembers Orihime's ability.

Hirako: That's it... If it's Orihime-chan's ability, then it's still possible to heal Hiyori! Ichigo! Ichigo still... didn't return yet?!

In this time Ichigo is heading down to where Hirako and others are.

Hirako, impatient and irritated, shouts out for the last hope

Hirako: Ichigo!!!!!!

Hey there everyone, welcome to the review of
Bleach chapter 376, EXecution EXtinction 2. With last week celebrating eight years of Bleach we now return to our regular dose of Bleach -though with more pictures in this week’s review than usual to see if that works. Using the SleepyFans scanlation I’ll be reviewing this week’s chapter, right after last week’s poll of course.

Aizen’s disappointment

You shouldn’t take your frustrations out on your “friends”

With last week’s shocking turn of events, this week’s chapter starts off with Aizen sheathing his Zanpakutou after cutting down Harribel. After the fall of the Primera Espada, Aizen’s “faith” -for a lack of a better term- in his Espada has been reduced to the point that he feels it was pointless to gather them. Aizen goes as far as to say that he alone is more powerful than the Espada put together, even though the Espada managed to push their opponents to fight harder than they’ve probably done in ages. Aizen took this disappointment out on Harribel as he now looks down on her, the last of the Espada -that he took with him-, as if she was the representation of the disappointing group of Arrancar.

Harribel’s disappointment

There’s no wrath like a woman scorn

Reality sinks in as Harribel’s surprise makes place for rage to the betrayal of her former leader. Harribel’s cold demeanor turns into the determination to get revenge for this sudden turn of events as she has all the right to be crossed with Aizen. She managed to fight off two Vizards and a captain class Shinigami and remained unscathed during this battle. All this after taking on the strongest Bankai attack of that same captain and having preparations made for her most powerful attack. Aizen should have waited for her to at least use her most powerful attack before attacking her, or at least have the enemy kill her instead of doing it himself without giving her the chance to prove herself. Harribel then stabs Aizen in the abdomen as she shows that she still has the strength to pull off those types of attacks. As blood spatters from the wound opened by the Tiguron, Aizen quickly regains his composure after taking a blade that size.

Smoke and Mirrors

She never did say she wouldn’t be fooled by the same trick twice…

Harribel suddenly is the one to take a blade through the shoulder as she turns around to find the culprit being none other than Aizen (again)! The illusion in the sky dissolves into two parts after the stab by Harribel as we see an annoyed Aizen telling her she will never raise her sword at him again. The saddest part of this all is the fact that Harribel practically fell for the same trick again, though Aizen’s absolute illusion has been proven to be quite difficult to see through. At this point in time it would have actually been better for her to use her ultimate move as it wouldn’t matter who she would hit at this point in time to be honest, but I guess that isn’t something that comes to mind when you’ve just been betrayed by the man you’ve been following so faithfully for all this time. As Harribel falls after being stabbed, even her opponents look shocked at the fact that Aizen attacked his own.

Provocations

…and your momma’s fat too!

Resuming as if nothing happened, Aizen tells the Shinigami and Vizards that they should fight as Aizen seemingly is planning to take on twelve opponents at the same time going by the picture seen above. Admittedly, two captains are no longer able to use their Bankai -Soi Fon and Hitsugaya probably-, one lieutenant, a guy who just lost an arm in a battle, and one captain who just had quite the battle. But he is still going up against the strongest captain in all of Soul Society, three former captains gone Vizard, two former lieutenants gone Vizard, and two more captains of which one has yet to go all out and another still has a Bankai up his sleeve after taking out the Primera Espada. Now I’m really curious as to what Aizen has up his sleeve if he wants to go up these odds.
One thing that is notable is the fact that he talks about the Vizards as pseudo-Arrancar, even though they’ve shown to be quite capable fighters. This somewhat shows Aizen’s view on Shinigami and Hollows as it would seem he deems the Hollows to be more potential when it comes to hybridization. Perhaps he felt that Shinigami, consisting of one soul, would lack the potential as opposed to Menos Hollow who consist of multiple souls. Or perhaps Aizen is suggesting that there’s more to the Hollowfication than even the Vizards know and it has to do with the Arrancar’s abilities -perhaps a resurrection?- as I see no other reason to refer to the Vizards as non-Arrancar. Aizen’s provocation, however, seems to have struck a snare with most of his opponents as we can see from their reactions. But what of those that are missing in all these developments?

The other resurrection

Enough distractions, it’s your time to shine Wonderweiss

We now find out that Mashiro and Kensei have been watching the others fight their respective battles. Perhaps part of their credo, they waited to see if there would be any other interruptions such as a massive outburst of Menos. Mashiro utters her surprise at the fact that Aizen was the one to kill the last of the Espada as it is strange no matter how you look at it. But as she stares into the skies, Wonderweiss finally decides to get up after the hit taken in chapter 168 as it seems he hasn’t been fighting -unlike Tousen and Gin- while the other fights were going on. Wonderweiss attempts to attack Mashiro, and even though Kensei warns her, it seems it is for naught as Mashiro easily counters with another kick in Wonderweiss’ face.

Limitations

Yeah Kensei: BZZZZT!

Kensei goes to Mashiro and tells her that she should take off her mask for awhile as an opponent of Wonderweiss’ level would exhaust her quickly. Mashiro then responds in a typical manner as she points out the fact that she can keep her mask up for over 15 hours, as such the longest of the Vizards. This interaction between the two confirms that Love’s claim of a three minute limit wasn’t just for show. My guess is that the Vizards’ Hollowfication works as an extra power boost similar to Hitsugaya’s Bankai. It allows for them to increase their power for a set amount of time. The time they have depends on their proficiency with their inner Hollow and the amount of power they use. Their time depletes as they have on their masks, but recharges once they take it off. Once their Hollowfication time reaches its limit, there appear to be consequences. Mashiro, however, isn’t too worried about these consequences as they probably have been fighting for less than an hour right now.

Battle of wits?

Somehow I doubt there would be any real winners if this were a battle of wits…

Wonderweiss then decides to stay down for a shorter period of time as he once more attempts to attack Mashiro from behind. Mashiro easily intercepts Wonderweiss again as she grabs his face and plants him into the concrete again. This time, however, Wonderweiss gets up immediately and grabs Mashiro’s scarf and throws her with it. Even though Mashiro is thrown for a few blocks through the streets -literally- her worries lie in the fact that her scarf was torn. The two then face off as they both charge towards each other. Mashiro then uses her Mashiro Super Cero -a plain Cero with a different name as a certain Arrancar whom I’m trying to forget had as well- against her assailant. Wonderweiss’ response to this attack, however, isn’t quite as flashy in name, though more effective.

Wonderweiss’ Howling Irritating Noise Eraser

Or W.H.I.N.E for short

As Mashiro’s Super Cero charges towards Wonderweiss, he opens his mouth once more to gather energy in his mouth. But instead of the Cero he attempted to fire a couple of chapters ago, he erases Mashiro’s Cero with his Howling irritating noise which acts as an eraser -which I dubbed the W.H.I.N.E. for him as he isn’t talkative enough to name his own attack - which he also used before. This Reiatsu powered scream seems to hold the ability to erase Reiatsu, or maybe a specific type of it at least. But Mashiro ignores Wonderweiss’ skill and doesn’t question how it works as she immediately follows up with a punch. She then tries to resume the fight with another one of her Super attacks, only to be halted in her tracks by a sudden change.

The Broken Limit

Whose going to be BZZZZT now?

Mashiro’s mask suddenly shatters to her own surprise as she wonders whether she actually reached her limit or not. While she is taken back by the sudden loss of her mask, Wonderweiss’ expression goes from being surprised to being pleased. Could it be that WHINE has the ability to negate Hollow Reiatsu? The timing fits as the Cero was erased first, followed by the disappearance of the mask, so it wouldn’t be too farfetched to make this claim. Wonderweiss looking so content also seems to suggest that he was happy he created this opportunity. Mashiro’s reaction to the mask disappearing is also rather interesting.
Her mask disappears and she sees it as the limit to her Hollowfication, even though Ichigo used to stop his Hollowfication as soon as possible to prevent something bad from happening. It is possible that keeping the mask on for too long allows the Hollow to take over, which would explain where Neo Ichigo came from as well as Ichigo already met his limit during the time he fought in Las Noches. The loss of the mask in itself wouldn’t be the bad thing Ichigo was talking about, so perhaps it only applies to him. Another thing to point out is the fact that only Hiyori and Ichigo have shown to get black eyes once they put on their respective masks, while the other Vizards seem to keep their eye color -with the possible exception of Shinji. Perhaps Aizen’s provocation at the start of this chapter also hinted at this difference between the Vizards who lose their mask after reaching the limit and Ichigo who possibly went berserk after reaching his physical and mental limit as well.

Payback

Consider yourself BZZZT Mashiro

Wonderweiss suddenly made quite the turn around from being rather passive, to suddenly enjoying the fight. With an ecstatic look on his face he first punches the remains of Mashiro’s mask only to move behind her quickly to strike her again. As he screams out in joy at the possible fact that he managed to stop that pesky fly of a Mashiro in her tracks her raises his fist. Mashiro possibly already fainted at this point by the force of Wonderweiss’ punch, though Wonderweiss doesn’t care as he strikes at her. But someone doesn’t feel like letting that happen any time soon.

Time to get serious

It’s true, he doesn’t go easy on kids, ask Hisagi.

Kensei suddenly intervenes as he grabs the fainted Mashiro while blocking Wonderweiss’ fist. He single handedly caught a punch with more than enough strength to knock out Mashiro, without moving an inch. The Vizard then looks at his partner in crime as we see her with a rather hollow look in her eyes. Wonderweiss, however, is a bit surprised by the fact that he wasn’t able to hit Mashiro. With a face brimming with both joy and surprise, Wonderweiss looks down on Kensei. Kensei gives a destructive look back at the Arrancar, along with the promise that he won’t hold back even though Wonderweiss is just a child. So how will the battle between the former captain and the unnumbered Arrancar go? Only next week’s chapter may tell.

Overview

So what can I say about this week’s chapter. I think it wasn’t as good as last week’s chapter as it feels like this chapter drained the pace from the story which last week’s chapter picked up. I was hoping for more to happen in this chapter with Aizen, Gin, and Tousen, but instead we get Wonderweiss waking up to fight. Perhaps the title of last week’s chapter made me anticipate the end of the fights in the fake Karakura town and as such the chance to finally get back to Las Noches too much. Nonetheless, this wasn’t that bad a chapter. Harribel’s persistence was enough to show she wasn’t quite as much the pushover as she was thought to be after last week’s sudden attack by Aizen, though I would have loved to see more of her instead of falling at Aizen’s hands. Aizen provoking all his opponents and claiming he is more powerful than all the Espada was also quite the treat as there’s a promise of Aizen himself fighting for the first time in quite some time. Wonderweiss getting up and showing us a possible Hollow Reiatsu eraser was also quite interesting as well as the bit on the Vizards’ limitations. We’ll just have to wait and see whether the EXecution EXtinction chapters will continue for a while or not, but here’s what I think could happen.

Predictions

Kensei will leave Mashiro somewhere safe, hopefully near Ukitake to show his situation and sharpen Kensei’s resolve to beat the living out of Wonderweiss. Kensei will then use his Shikai and Mask to attack Wonderweiss, only for Wonderweiss to take away his mask as well. Meanwhile the other Vizards and captains will talk with Aizen, probably about his rather peculiar claims of him taking them all on. It is possible that the fight will end with the fall of Aizen and all his henchmen, only to be nothing more than an illusion where Harribel is still safe and sound. There could a couple of EXecution EXtinction chapters where we will see how Wonderweiss, Aizen, and possible Tousen, and Gin will fight their opponents while taking some of the weakened ones out. But for now it feels like Kubo isn’t planning on going to Las Noches yet.
